Outer Banks, NC ....the family beaches, lighthouses, Kitty Hawk, and much, much more. 
This is the place where you can walk along the beach at sunset. If you enjoy fishing this is the place for that sport also.
Jockey Ridge State Park is the place to try hang gliding or just watch. Walking up Jockey Ridge sand dune is a sport all in it self. this is the tallest sand dune on the east coast.
Visit the Wright Brothers Museum.
It is always windy here, so it is understandable why the Wright Brothers chose this place to try their flight trials.
The Elizabethan Gardens are beautiful place to stroll and take pictures. Many weddings are held in these gardens.
One of the highlights of our marriage is the fact that we both love traveling. Mary and I have enjoyed many wonderful walks in different countries to include Romania, Hong Kong, Jamaica, Philippines, China, and Mexico. As a result of taking our children along on a number of these trips, they too have enjoyed lots of different cultural exposure and enjot the outdoors. Really enjoyed your pictures.

DeleteThe Outer Banks is one of my favorite beach vacations (even though we live at the beach). The Outer Banks is so different from Hilton Head Island, although we have the same brown water! I thoroughly enjoy surf fishing and camping when we visit Hatteras and Okracoke.
ReplyDeleteWe have camped at Outer Banks for many summers. I love the quiet beaches away from the hustle and bustle of everything. A couple that has started camping with us does not like it because they feel it so boring. That is OK, I will be going back. We did decide to go to Hilton Head this past summer. I have no desire to return. It was so crowded and I didn't enjoy it.
