Nashville, Tennesse

Music City USA

We stopped in Nashville on our way to Branson, Mo. One reason because I had never been there before. Second reason because our youngest son who was traveling with us plays many instruments.

We visited the Parthenon:
The Parthenon stands proudly as the centerpiece of Centennial Park, Nashville's premier urban park. The re-creation of the 42-foot statue Athena is the focus of the Parthenon just as it was in ancient Greece. The building and the Athena statue are both full-scale replicas of the Athenian originals.

Another must see site in Nashville is Broadway Street. Here you find shops, music studios, clubs with live music and good food a plenty We bought boots on Broadway for the unbelievable buy one pair get 2 pairs for free. My husband got 2 pairs of gorgeous black leather boots and our son got one for only $216.00. It was a steal.
Naturally if you go to Nashville you have to visit the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Walk of Fame.

  1. Oh My Gosh Cindy, We traveled to Nashville one summer and I also took advantage of the boots deal on Broadway Street. It was very interesting and exciting to walk in and out of specific places where famous old country singers hung out. We visited the Old Ryman Auditorium and I was able to take a picture of me on that famous stage. We also took a tour of many country singers homes. The old country singers did not seem to put a lot of emphasis on big homes. I guess they just enjoyed singing.
