I would love to go on a long European Vacation. I would like to visit Ireland and Scotland. Then travel to England, Germany, Italy, France and Spain.
My concern this day and time is with all the Wars and bad news you hear. I wonder how safe it really would be to travel to all of these places. How safe would public transportation be around these countries?
I would love to see:
I really want to see everything, but I know money would be an issue. I also have no idea how long we would need to stay to see as much as possible. I guess if we ever do take this trip it will depend on how much money we can afford to spend. Money will be the driving issue as to where we go, what we see and how long we stay.
We are considering going to at least Ireland and Germany when our youngest son graduates high school.
I have dreamed of this vacation since I was in high school.

I was fortunate to be able to travel to Germany, Denmark and Norway when I was 19. Went by myself, but stayed at the homes of 2 of our foreign exchange students from high school and my brother was in the Army in Germany. I was gone for 24 days. Want to go to England, Ireland, and Australia so bad, but like you, am afraid of the travel. There are so many beautiful places to see here in the states, though. I think I will start here!
ReplyDeleteWow, what an amazing journey that would be for you. I want to do similar travel and priced it out just to see and it was expensive. Despite the cost, memories made on trips such as these are priceless. Where would you land first?
ReplyDeleteI have been following your blog since the beginning. I too have enjoyed the Outer Banks, Crystal Coast, and Disney. All of the other places I have not been and from your information and pictures you have given, I would love to visit them.
ReplyDeleteMy husban and I are planning a vacation to Europe. We wanted to do it this summer, but I would like to have more money saved up for it. I think we will stay in the USA for this summer.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a great trip. It seems like it would take alot of planning. I think if it would find people who have done this and get their advice.
ReplyDeleteI was stationed in Germany for 6 years with the Army and traveled quite a bit. When you go buy a Eur-Rail Pass. This will be a train ticket good for up to 30 days on any train in any country in Europe. You can get on and off whenever and wherever you want within those 30 days.
