Helena, Georgia

Helena, Georgia
We took a vacation to Helena, Georgia a few years ago for the week of July 4th. It is a wonderful little village to visit and have a good family vacation. We tubed down the river, played at the water park and visited nearby Stone Mountain for a fantastic 4th of July celebration.

  1. That really does look like a fun place for a family! That river rafting looks a bit rough. And after looking at so many pictures from all of you out east, I've decided I live on the wrong side of the country!

  2. Never thought of Georgia as being a vacation spot, may have to try it. This looks like my kind of spot, quiet and peaceful.

  3. I live in Atlanta for several years and have fond memories of family trips to these places. After serving in Germany for 6 years we still return on occasion to Helena for their great authentic German food.

  4. I have never been to Georgia, but I was so surprised to see how similar one of your pictures looks to a place I vacation in Maine- Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor. They also have carriage rides!

  5. I have never traveled to Georgia and it is definitely a place I would love to visit. Sounds like the activities you describe are things that my family would enjoy.
